The Hawkeyes got some good news on Thursday, when reports started come out that Jaleel Johnson would not be making a visit to Michigan State this weekend. Johnson is regarded as one of the better defensive tackles in the class of 2012 and rumors began to swirl that me may look to play else where once Marcus Coker left the team. This will certainly end all the Jaleel Johnson decommitting from Iowa rumors. Here is the tweet that was sent out by Allen Trieu of Scout.com:

Once it was announced that Greg Schiano would be leaving Rutgers to coach in the NFL for Tampa bay, it didn’t take long for people to wonder about the future of linebacker Quanzell Lambert. Lambert is a four-star recruit from Sicklerville, New Jersey (the same town as Shonn Greene) and chose to play at Rutgers to be closer to home. The Hawkeyes were very high on Lambert and he made a visit to Iowa in October. Now that Schiano is no longer at Rutgers, Lambert has decided to keep his options open.
