Marvin McNutt Very Impressive During Senior Bowl Practices

Marvin McNutt is taking part in Senior Bowl practices this week and has been very impressive according many reports.

Marvin McNutt is arguably the greatest receiver to ever play at Iowa and broke all sorts of school records during his career.  McNutt was the best receiver in the Big Ten this season and won the Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year Award.  His draft stock has increased significantly throughout the season and if he can impress NFL scouts at these workouts than he will continue to rise on team’s draft boards.

The best headline about Marvin McNutt came from SBNation which said “2012 Senior Bowl Practice Report Day 2, North Team: Marvin McNutt Steals The Show.”  Here is an excerpt from the article that talks about Marvin McNutt:

Eric Galko of Optimum Scouting was also impressed with Marvin McNutt’s performance and refered to him as one of the better “ball grabbers” in this draft.  Out of all the positive things that he said about McNutt, this might be the most impressive from Tuesday’s practice.

McNutt on the other hand didn’t drop a pass I say all day

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times interviewed Marvin McNutt and touched on everything from the Senior Bowl to his time playing for Iowa.  One of the questions that was asked to McNutt was about playing for Kirk Ferentz and this was what he had to say:

Q: What was your experience like with Kirk Ferentz?
A: I loved playing for him.

Adam Hodge of CBS Chicago said “Iowa wide receiver Marvin McNutt is the story among the wide receivers.”  This is what he said about Marvin McNutt’s size and how it will help him:

He has decent size at 6-2 1/2, 216, and has long arms which make him a bigger target
