Iowa Hawkeye Football Recruiting News

National signing day for college football is on February 1st and each day brings something different when comes to recruiting news.

Yesterday saw the Iowa Hawkeyes add another running back to their current class, who was originally committed to in-state rival Iowa State.  Also the Hawkeyes are planning to send two coaches down to Texas to visit with a highly recruited defensive tackle.

Here is the recruiting news surrounding the Iowa Hawkeyes.

It was reported yesterday that Barkley Hill, who originally committed to Iowa State, changed his mind and would now be signing with the Iowa Hawkeyes.  Hill is 6-foot, 190 pound running back from Cedar Falls and was ESPN Iowa Football POY.  He rushed for 2,491 yards and had 40 touchdowns in his outstanding senior season.

Aaron Curry

Blair Sanderson of Rivals tweeted out that both Darrell Wilson and LaVar Woods would head down to Texas and visit with Aaron Curry on Thursday.  Curry is listed at 6-foot-3, 275 pounds and is the 22nd best defensive tackle in the country according to Scout.com. Curry’s final three schools include Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska.
